SAN ANTONIO — Officials say a Bexar County sheriff's deputy pulled a gun on a San Antonio police officer after a traffic mishap.

A uniformed police sergeant on his way to work in his personal vehicle Friday night became involved in a minor accident involving another vehicle, according to a report by KABB in San Antonio.

The other driver got out with a gun drawn, pointing it at the officer approaching, police Sgt. Gabe Trevino said. The officer pulled his gun and ordered the man to the ground. The officer placed the man in handcuffs.

Officials discovered that the man and a passenger were both off-duty sheriff's deputies. The two, who both work at the Bexar County Jail, were given citations for open-container violations. An administrative investigation is under way.

Oops!

Wow....the SA officer draws while at gunpoint, and manages to gain the upper hand in the situation. I wonder how that went down? Somebody was a wee bit tipsy, me thinks.

I wonder what would have happened if a permit holder had been involved, and managed to shoot the deputy after being drawn on?

Further proof that guns and alcohol don't mix!

(what the heck...it's coming anyway).

The headlines would have read:

Deputy Shot In Road Rage Incident, Local Carry Permit Holder Arrested
