So last night the sheriff has a guy in our neighborhood in the back of squad. Seems they found his car parked on the road empty and him wander around a dark house. Guess it was a house check alittle out of his territory.

Minnetonka police officer charged with burglary

Daniel Saba is accused of breaking into a Chanhassen home on May 6th and rummaging through the house looking for pharmaceutical drugs.
Saba, of Shorewood, is a Minnetonka police officer who is currently on leave from his job.
During the alleged burglary, the homeowner was in the basement and heard someone rummaging through drawers and cupboards in the upstairs of his home. The homeowner went to investigate and said he saw Saba walking down the stairs in his home. The homeowner said he told Saba to leave and then he called 911.
The Carver County Attorney has charged Saba with felony First Degree Burglary.
Police say the homeowner gave 911 Dispatch a description of the Saba's car, including his license plate number. Carver County Sheriff's located and arrested Saba a short time later.
During an interview with police, Saba confessed to entering the home to steal pharmaceutical drugs. He said he was addicted to prescription pain medication.
Saba appeared in Carver County District Court Friday morning. The Court set Saba's bail at $20,000.
If Saba posts bail, he will be released and tracked by a Global Positioning System bracelet.

The detained him for almost two hours while they checked all the houses but could not arrest him, his dad(a retired police officer) also lives in area and seemed to think he was there looking for him. Of course dad shows up and tries to tell us he is a good kid and we should not have any conern.
