And we're off. Doug Hester -- reaver3 to those of you who have been around for awhile -- will be doing the active liveblog. Assuming I can get and keep the technology working, and with the help of some friends who will be at the Capitol, I'll be doing a few standups and color commentary right here. I'll be tweeting -- http://twitter.com -- with the hash tag #gangstrikefarce.

You'll be able to follow the committee meeting live right here.

If you've got any questions you'd like me to try to address either via twitter or on one of the standups, you can tweet them, or text them to 6122935635.

I'll be up at the Capitol around 1PM; hearing starts at 2PM.

Just arrived at the hearing room. TV remote truck on the street... five video cams in the room... and we wait.

Annoying technical difficulties. You'd think they would have checked this out beforehand.

The tapping of the mic is driving me nuts.

Then why even have this hearing?

"It is possible that a third chapter will be written by the FBI"

One would certainly hope so.

34 officers total in the GSF.

Will we ever find out how many of those went bad?

"The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office was the fiscal agent for the GSF."

"I decided that an immediate review was needed"

"We basically found that the GSF lacked fundamental control."

Bye bye, Sheriff Fletcher and Commander Ron Ryan.
