Alaska's finest sent back to school so that they realize there is a Constitution, and that they are not above it.

Officer: Is your ID inside?

Zellmer: Possibly.

Officer: Then let's go inside and get it.

Zellmer: You guys can stay out here and I'll go and get it.

Officer: Actually, we're going to go inside with you.

Zellmer: No, you're not, unless you have a warrant.

Officer: I don't need a warrant.

As you read through this article, keep in mind it was all about a few drops of dog pee falling through the cracks of a porch floor.

Note also that the police "employees association" representative and the the ACLU representative urge citizens to give up their Constitutional rights and then complain about it afterward. In other words, citizens should allow their rights to have a coach and horses driven through them and then, hopefully, the offenders will be told "gee, please don't do that again.".

This says a lot about their views:

Yup. It's wonderful. Not the only good option -- and maybe not quite the best, for some purposes -- for the iPhone.

Let's talk.
