it took two weeks to renew and if i remember correctly 5 years ago it took 2 1/2 weeks for the initial permit. fast, efficient and just plain nice people to deal with. plus the woman working the desk laminates all new cards before she mails them. helps keep the print on them from getting messed up over the course of 5 years.
