I just applied to renew my MN permit and also applied for a non-resident New Hampshire permit. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get the NH permit?

Thanks

I sent my PA and NH at the same time, using the same stamps with just a flag on them, but no denomination (I assumed they were the forever stamps since there was no denom.)

I got my PA within a week, but the NH letter got sent back d/t incorrect postage (NH refused to pay the 2 cents). I had to pay the 2 cents (well the nice USPS clerk said don't worry about it) and resend it. It's been over a month and a half and no word from NH yet, they haven't cashed my check yet. :?

Mine was 2 weeks or so, but this was back in 2005.

I imagine every state's CCW bureaus are quite busy nowadays. Maybe give them a call?

I have had a few students who recently told me it took 12 weeks to get it.

Took me about 3 weeks last year.

Don't forget the PA permit! That only took about 10 days or so...

I applied (put in mailbox) on 31 December. My permit arrived in mid-March. When I called in early March, a recorded message stated that they were experiencing long delays due to high volume or some such thing.

Oddly, mine has an issue dats of 04 March 2009 with an expiration date of 30 Sep 2013. Maybe they expire in the same month as your b-day?

Interesting. My NH was issued 11-28-05, expires 11-28-09. Thanks for getting me to look at it, I doubt I'd have remembered it expires almost a year earlier than my MN.

That brings up a question- and rather than research it myself (!), anyone know if I will have any training certificate issues, etc. when I go to renew the NH?

Form and instructions
http://www.nh.gov/safety/divisions/nhsp ... ssp260.pdf

It says copy of your current permit ... also asks you to include your current NH number for renewals. Don't see anything about training cert.

Thanks for prompting me to look again. I don't look at the NH stuff too often but recommend it as an easy way to get ND in my classes so ...

Just called and got a recording stating that they are processing applications from the first week of March, and any received after March have not been processed. Also, from the NH website.

PLEASE NOTE:
Effective July 1, 2009, the fee for Non-Resident Applications increases from $20.00 to $100.00.

Ouch! There goes the cheap, easy add-on!

Oh well, it's still easy!
