Just had a student report that he received his permit five days after application from Ramsey County. There may be hope!! Bob |

My guess would be that Fletcher knew him in some way, or knew his family. When I got my original permit in '04 I was living in Ramsey County and was aware of the "issues" with Ramsey County. I went in and applied on a late Thursday afternoon. The next Monday I got my permit in the mail (One business day turnaround). The only thing I can figure is that my parents used to do a bunch of campaign work for Fletcher when I was growing up and we lived in St. Paul and he may have remembered our family from that. Then again, it could also have been because I have a spotless record and my employment history showed that I had spent 5 of the previous 7 years as a firefighter in Woodbury. I guess I can't say for certain, and since I'm now living back in Washington County I suppose it doesn't much matter. |

What? Fletcher's Force is hand-picking who gets theirs back immediately, and who has to wait 30+5 "mail delay" days for their permit? |
