I applied around August 7th with the Minneapolis Sheriffs office and the letter they sent me was dated September 3rd. (During the RNC)

I believe I received my permit on the 5th or 6th but unfortunately I wasn't checking my mail during that time.

Either way it sure seems like they sent it out in 27 days.

Got my permit today. I turned in my renewal on Sept 5th. So they took every last day given we don't have Sunday mail delivery. The letter is dated 10/2.

If they spent half as much time just doing their job verses insuring they sat on the paperwork to the last minute I bet they would actually have some time to deal with crime or god forbid could reduce their expenses.

Just submitted my application on Wednesday at the HCSO, they told me 28 days.

Good lord, $100....It can't cost them $100 to issue a permit....

Submitted Sept 15th - arrived in the mail Oct 16th
I guess the mail holiday on Monday got them behind schedule a day!
at least they are being truthful when they tell you it will take them the full month when you drop off the paperwork. (I'm NOT saying I like it or agree with their methods, just saying they were at least honest about it up front!)

I just posted in the wrong place so I will move it over here. Ijust got my renewal from Hennepin. It took about 30 days. Five years ago in Isanti Co. it took less than two weeks and was cheaper.
