One Sheriff told me that it only takes him two MINUTES to issue a permit. He's proud of his computer prowess.

And he was not a MPPA supporter either. (He still charges the maximum of $100 or $75.)

I think it would be easier to just issue the permit right away and then file the paperwork, just to get everything off the desk.

Dick, that makes too much since. [sarcasm] Besides if someone is angry they might go kill someone else once they get their permit.[/sarcasm]

A friend who was in the same class as me, took his application in the day after I did and got his the day after I received mine. So apparently the Blue Earth County Sheriff's department is consistently turning applications around with a minimum of delay.

Lost my wallet a week ago. Did everything necessary to get a new permit on Monday, got it on Wednesday. 2 days for my replacement

Perhaps contacting the Sheriff and letting him know you appreciate his effort and would be supporting him in coming elections because of it.

Application dropped off Monday at 1630. The wonderful folks in the office mailed the card on Friday the same week. Four days for me! 8)

I was wondering how long BECO took issuing permits.

Gonna submit mine on Tuesday once I get back home.

What does BECO charge? The full $100?
