Yet another decent idea that will be a total cockup because it will be implemented by a government.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this. I googled it, and it seems like no one really knows anything concrete. All speculation. I wish we knew more about his plan for the changed America.

Well your right we should know more about his plan for changed America. But it would have bene nice for the however many million people that voted for him to ask that before they cast their vote.

Face it he got elected becuase of his race, if a non minority had run with his extreme beliefs, past associations and questionable experience they would have not got the nomination, yet alone elected.

I don't care what gender or race our president is, however, not being able to question critical views without being labeled a racist made it impossible to expose this guy for who we really is. And the general population doesn't seek out information they absorb what they are given.

Thus we end up with a guy that does not believe in our flag, pledge or our anthem, and he is our commander and chief. NICE!

I can't understand why people are so confused. If you even bother to look into the slightest bit of history, the roadmap is crystal clear. Precidents have already been established several times over for how this works.

This is just the first time we are seeing it happen in America.

But oh, wait, it can't happen here...

Any specific examples you think people should look at? Wikipedia or similar links would be appreciated.

Well, it was from a speech he made in early July and was relatively ignored until 1 or 2 days before the election. My guess was someone was looking for SOMETHING to try and trip him up with and this was the best thing they found. It's nebulous, it reeks of socialism, and it's unconventional (ie. radical).

Doing a google search (and looking at commentary from July), I got a pretty good idea of what's going on. He's promoting a volunteer army with government funding. Peace Corps and AmeriCorps (who?) look to be the primary type of organizations he's trying to promote.

At this point, with the economy in the tank, I doubt these "programs" are financially feasible. And probably why the conservative talk-shows I heard bringing it up were using it against him.

Ah! I knew I was going to be called out on the carpet for not digging up references. Well enough, I suppose, someone1980. Thanks for maintaining TCC's integrity.

As such, I'll just include this link, and a request for the individual to secure for themselves further sources and read deeper into the history and purpose of established militarized civilian security forces in varying countries throughout the world. I would also recommend you investigate Blackwater begining to operate within the continental US. They are not here to be our friends, or to just clean up the "bad guys" off the street.

I think I'll leave this matter at that.

Hi,
I thought we all ready had a volunteer army supported my my taxes-- My concern is this going to be HIS private army?
Hopefully it will all be just a bad idea that wil go away/and or never come up again--

How else are they gonna get your guns? The regular army and the cops won't do it, too many liabilities. But they could hire groups like Blackwater to go take them, no questions asked.
