Just wanted to introduce myself since I just got my CCW a few weeks ago. I took the class up here in Grand Marais from Lowell Rudd. He was gracious enough to help all of us up here in our very underserved area. I haven't started carrying yet, but only due to lack of a good holster for my XD-9 sub-compact. The holster is on order though along with some nice,sturdy belts. When I lived down in Faribault I did some USPSA shoots on Tuesday night and the occasional IDPA shoot on Wed. night. The family and I have been up here for about 2 years and I sure do miss shooting on Tuesday night... The upside is I am outside the city limits and have a nice berm on my property I can shoot into anytime I want to (except during deer season of course). Derek |

Welcome aboard! Grand Marais is a beautiful place indeed- the wife and I get up there once a year or so for a few days of R & R. |

Well thanks all. I carried for the first time today and none of my employees even noticed despite the fact I was using the crappy OWB holster that came with my XD. Not ideal, but it was secure. I had a light weight jacket on pretty much all day and that hide it well enough. |
