Hello all, im Charlie. Im a U of M student, new to shooting but ive always been very interested especially in handgun shooting, with a defensive emphasis. ive tried several pistols (CZ-75, glock 17C, smith and wesson larger frame 357 magnum, sig sauer p229 in 357) and im looking at carry guns. I've held a compact size glock and it seems to fit alright, but ive never shot one, im especially in the 9mm (the glock 19). i was wondering if anyone would let me try one.

Try one of the ranges like Bill's in Robbinsdale. You can try almost any gun imaginable. Can even rent a machine gun if you can afford to pull the trigger

Welcome aboard! Hang out for a bit, and you may well find someone willing to meet you at the range and let you try theirs out. If I had one, I would- but I'm more of a revolver guy...

I'd normally be happy to, but I'm booked up this weekend.
There is a large number of G19 owners round these parts. I'm sure somebody will be at a range soon.
Welcome!

Welcome!
Just hang out and don't be afraid to ask questions.
Usually, there is no such thing as a stupid question.
I don't have any Glocks otherwise, I'd be happy to help you out.

Iv'e got a G26 as well. I picked that over the 19. It is really nice for carry.
If I ever see you at the range, you can try it out.

I had the same questions.
I went to Bill's in Robbinsdale and shot the Glock 27 to confirm it was the gun I wanted to buy. If I didn't like the 27, I knew it was easy to then just go back to the counter and get the 19,23, or 26!
Cost about $35 plus ammo to test drive. Worth the price.
