That revolver is on my short list of things to spend money on. Nice choice.

Yup. It's definitely on my list of things to get the round tuit for. Lots of fun.

Sweet man. I would like one of these someday. I am on a EBR kick right now though. (you never know how long before the EBR's price sky rockets) Nice score Joel. 8)

 Joel, I retract the part about the pearl bits. :P

1911fan, do you mean actual mastodon ivory? Wouldn't that be really, really expensive? And wouldn't it be petrified?

Truth: right now, mastodon ivory is less expensive than elephant ivory. And, no, it's not petrified.

Tick what joel said,

I have a big 4" x11" x2" chunk of mastadon that I bought for about 2 bills from Siberia. I am also waiting on some walrus tusk from the Aleutians, its nearly indistinguishable from elephant, A friends son who works the summer salmon boats is bringing some home in a couple of months, he works with some indigenous people and they have lots but selling it is hard.

I have heard that Hippo tusks can make 1911 and hi power grips, but are not thick enough walled to make revolver grips except for some of the largest specimens.

Well, given that I've been told that I'd need a wheelbarrow to carry my cojones around, they do need to be fairly roomy.

Joel: I hate to tempt you, but that gun would probably handle 45 Super ammo just fine.....
