Glock 36 - single stack .45 acp fits my hand perfectly and comes up right on target. I have bought and sold many handguns searching for the one that fits my hand to perfection and I think I found it.
Anyone else have one? What is your opinion?

I have shot one, and loved it! I am currently trying to purchase a used one from a co-worker before it gets warm out. I now carry a Ruger P-90 .45ACP, which is a great gun, but a little big for summer clothing. Hope you enjoy your new pistol!

Enjoy! The baby Glocks are easy to carry and a lot of fun to shoot!

The G26 & G27 are baby Glocks - I would call the G36 a younger sibling.
It's bigger than the baby's but smaller than the grownup Glocks.
Anyway, I look forword to this weekend when I can put some rounds through it.

G36 are most exactly the same as a G19/23 in size so it would be a compact. I have all the Glock forms ;)

Yes it is a compact and I like the singlestack slim-line instead of the doublestack. I carry the extra mag and an LCP in a pocket holster for backup.
I had a G27 but sold it as it was unfortunatly the gun that my younger brother put to his head and pulled the trigger in Dec '07 so I just couldn't keep it. I know that it was him and not the innocent gun but everytime I handled it I wound think why?? Too much alcohol, pain killers and debt made for an irrational mind and that was his way out.
I sold my PM9 to buy the G36 so now I need to find another 9mm. I'm thinking of a Glock full size with the longest barrel that I can get for target shooting as I don't need another carry gun.
There should be a few of those for sale - where is a good place to find a used one for a good price?
Do you know if the compensator does that much good on a 9mm?
:?:

Update on my new G36 - I have to tell you about the great deal that I found. I was rummaging through the bins of returned holsters at the Sportsman Guide Outlet store in South St. Paul and found a really nice Blackhawk leather paddle holster that was labeled Med. S&W. I looked closer and found a stamp on the back under the paddle that said Glock 26/27 so I bought it at a huge discount. Turns out it fits the Glock 36, CZ-100, S&W model 59 and my Taurus PT940 - it has an adjustable cant and adjustable lower belt catch. I guess that they are all basically the same size frame. My lucky day. It's new and looks like the quality that a detective would own.

If you carried a G36 and then a G26 how much difference would they feel?

I used to have a G26; a G36 is one of my usual carry choices.

The main difference in feel would be in the grip length; the G36 has a pinky rest on the magazine, and the G26 just leaves that pinky hangin'. The G36 is a bit slimmer, but not by much.

Overall, I prefer the G36; it's a very comfortable little pistol for carry, particularly IWB.

Thanks, I'm really getting to like Glock guns. I used to be a little worried about the only safety in the trigger but now that I'm getting more comfortable with it I've learned to really like that trigger mechanism and short stroke and consistency - every Glock you pick up shoots the same. I have a G26 on order so I can have the two - one for winter and a smaller one for summer. I decided to get the G26 in 9mm as that ammo is cheaper and I plan on shooting it a bunch. I ordered it through my wife's cousin who sells Glock. He shoots at Glock events so I plan to tag along with him this summer.
