FYI all-I did a fair amount of web research and decided there were just too many documented problems with the M&P-no slight to current owners and future prospective buyers...I decided to dump the bucks on an HD-SC .40 for the meantime...maybe an M&P on the horizon...as I AM a S&W fan...just want to be sure all the wrinkles have been ironed out by Smith. Keep throwin your two cents in everybody...Thanks-Squirrel.

My 40c has 3k plus trouble free rounds down range with no problems. Great guns.

I'm not a fan of the foh-tay, but I have an M&P 9L and 9c, and I absolutely love them both. I've carried them both, obviously the 9c is easier to conceal, but the 9L is not any bigger than a full-size M1911.
