As it turned out, I bought a new-to-me Glock 21 on Friday, and finally -- I know; what was I waiting for? -- got a chance to give it a spin yesterday. For whatever reason (it may be the thicker grip; it might be the Glock Sock that it came with) the consistent pattern of a Glock point-shooting up and to the left (for me; others do better) wasn't, well, there; here's a 21-foot target, with three 13-round mags' (+1) worth of holes in it.
ImageI'm no Don Larson when it comes to shooting a Glock (for one thing, I can't use the high-thumbs grip he teaches, and which he does such neat things with; my tiny little hands make that impractical on anything larger than a Kahr PM9), but, you know? I think that'll do.

(Yes, I'm still sticking with a revolver for carry, by and large. I doubt anybody will be shocked.)

*blush* Thank you. (For those who came in late, Donnie may not be the best shooting and holster work instructor in the state, but that's not the way to bet. His next shooting class is on June 13.)

Only 21 feet. On a good day, I'm kinda okay at point shooting up to fifty, but only kinda. (I ever tell you about the time I won $10 from my kid on making a headshot on the -- proper spot of the -- "hostage" target? I did use my sights that time, though.)

Are you left handed or use your left hand to pull the trigger? If not you may want to adjust the sight on your Glock. Then again if others were shooting it just fine without adjustment...

These things do not rely on each other ;-)

Nope. I'm a lefty, but I shoot rifles right handed (right eye dominant).

I also enjoy Glocks. 8)

I have a G17 (2nd Gen) and G30SF w/rail. The G30SF is my EDC. They may be butt ugly, (I mean really ugly) but they go bang every single time I have ever asked them to go bang. :) That means to me more than looks could ever represent.

Welcome to the dark side, literally, those things are black...

My 21 is my favorite shooter to date, also my carry choice. I've got a hogue sleeve on the grip, but the thing fits my hand perfectly. I have a LWD barrel in mine now, and it throws 200gr LSWC's quite nicely.

People looked at me funny when I didn't put a new magazine in between stages at the Steel Shoot... Had 3 rounds to spare after 2 stages of 5 plates :)

ETA: Ah, my post count applies quite nicely...

The Glock .45's are considered by many to be the most accurate ones.

I never liked Glocks, thought they were unsafe, ugly and cheap. One day I got one, a G30 (Compact .45 for those unfamiliar with Glocks) and fell in love with it.

It's thick, doesn't really fit my hand that well, yet I can hit with it just as well as I can with my 1911's. It conceals well and doesn't get very heavy when carried all day. It holds 10+1 and will also accept the G21 mags for a 14+1 capacity. It's worked every time I pulled the trigger since the day it came out of the box.

I'm sure you'll continue to enjoy your G21 Joel, they're like the Energizer Bunny, they keep going and going...
