Looking for a recommendation of a gunsmith capable of refurbishing/rebuilding one of these. The revolver in question was made in 1922, and with its condition, isn't worth much. A friend would like to rebuild it to shooting condition.

However, he doesn't want to trust any fly-by-night "gunsmith" with it as it is still a nice, old, piece of history, including some family history that is associated with it.

Wish I remembered his name, but the smith at Bill's Robbinsdale is great. Someone else will know it, and he works in the shop.

Try Palmer Raysnor out at the gunstop west in St Boni's.

Another question is how much do you wish to fix it, Ham Bowen is the best at it anywhere, then perhaps is ted yost.

Thank you both for your suggestions, that gives me a couple good places to start.

Anyone know if Randy at Territorial would work on something like that? Or is he more into rifles and 1911's only?

He may, but Palmer is sort of the old school Geek when it comes to rebuilding and repairing older classics.
