Well, I went to the gun show yesterday. Looked around at all the autoloader tables but didn't see anything too exciting. So I thought I'd check out some small revolvers to see what all the hoopla around here lately has been about.

And there she was. Nestled in with all the other revos of the same general size. But she might as well have been the only one in the room. As soon as I saw her I new I needed her, I had to have her. It was like she was whispering to me; Chuck, take me home, I'll make you feel good!

I asked to hold her. That's when I knew, she would be mine! From the firm roundness of her nubile barrel to the soft curve of her backstrap. She was perfect. I quickly paid the man and rushed home to.........but I digress.

Anyway, I'm the proud new owner of a S&W 642 just like the one in Joel's picture (except much sexier).

ETA- I'm just not sure what I'm going to tell all my autos??

You seem to have a sexual attraction to this gun...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I chose an XD9SC as my first carry gun and love it, but very much want to add a 642, 340PD or one of the Taurus snubbies to the arsenal as soon as finances allow.

Mind sharing how much you paid?

Whew... Glad to see you didn't pick her up at the Bloomington Gun Show last week. I would hate to admit to fondling ... errr.. admiring your new paramour before you took her home.

We also saw a beautiful 642 at that show.

I admit too, I'm in search of one too, sure I can find them, but I'm waiting for the right time and place, and price.

May JMB forgive me but while I was peacefully minding my own business buying a perfectly nice 9 mm Browning Hi Power Practical this beautiful little S&W 442 demanded I take it home. :D :D :D

Joel, I guess this makes me a member of the church of the appropriate revolver.

Well life must be good, 2 new bang sticks to play with this weekend.

I think I just missed you at GS yesterday. Whitefish and I were in there around 11am then went to liunch with White Horseradish and WH and I returned close to 1pm.

Howard's dog is Cute ;-)

That it is, I wasn't there until about 6:00 or a little later.

The new place is much nicer than the old one.

Have a good one.

Actually the 442 is the black side as it is black.

Nice gun looking forward to trying it out this weekend.

Nice guns, sure. I've got an old 42, factory-bobbed. Nice little gun.
