Hey - reports from the SHOT show are that S&W is re-introducing the "Lemon Squeezer". (Bottom one)

Charter is prototyping some left-handed revolvers

Taurus has a magnesium revolver.

And Ruger has a 4" Redhawk.

2007 is going to have a revolver for everyone's taste.

Does anyone have an original lemon squeezer they'd like to show off at the range? I'd be interested in trying one.

White Horseradish pointed out that the City Pages or the Rake recently showed a picture of one ... Well, OK, it was just a mirror image for graphic layout but still...

But I ALREADY have a magnesium fire starter :-)

A terrific idea, as I've been saying for some time. I'm unfond of safety switches, for the obvious reasons -- but I don't think that, under stress, I'm going to forget to grip the firearm. Additional mechanical devices as an aid to stuff like the thing not going bang when dropped are a good thing, and I really like the additional safe thing to do -- engage the safety by loosening the grip -- when reholstering.

NICE! and the 4" Redhawk sounds like a winner, too. Ow, my wallet hurts...

The point of the lemon squezezer escapes me. The fundamental safety features of a modern DA revolver are enough, as far as I am concerned.

--Firing pin retracts after firing,

--Hammer will not fall if the trigger is not being drawn back.

So why do we need another one? Seems to me to be a solution in search of a problem.

Joel, I guess this makes me a member of the church of the appropriate revolver.

Well life must be good, 2 new bang sticks to play with this weekend.

Not to worry, Clint Smith willl just be upset that it does not shoot ammo that starts with a 4, but they will all get over it. Besides when someone mocks my Glocks, I ask, did I ask you to pitch infor it, no, then keep it to yourself.

Congrats, hope to see them both at the next match, at the safety table, of course!

Gawrsh. I just looked up magnesium in the periodic table, and it looks like it starts out, at least, about half the weight of titanium.

I suppose that once it's alloyed with whatever other metal it will be heavier, but . . . wow.

Actually, I went kind of nuts this week and bought three new guns. A 686, the Hi Power and the Smith 442 (a backup for my backup  )

I had a rough day today, I went to Bill's and shot 200 rounds out of the 686, 50 out of the 442, 300 out of the Hi Power (BTW I love that gun shoots like a dream), a couple hundred .22's and 60 through the carry gun (cycling carry ammo).

Tough way to spend the day. :D

Would you mind sharing where you bought it and how much? Used or NIB?

I'm waiting for that 4 inch Redhawk. It should be so much more practical than the 2.5 inch Alaskan if you want a smaller .44 to carry.

My "must have" list just had the new Redhawk added to it. If things go well I might find one in less than a year. I got my first Redhawk in 1981 after a long time on my dealer's waiting list. They announced them in 1979. I'm sure they will be asking a premium price for the 4 inch. Since they just have to add the shorter barrel they might be out fairly soon.
