Maybe you know, but if not...Walmart has some good deals on 9mm target ammo. Normal is about $6.xx/50 rounds. Tonight I went by and got a few boxes of winchester white box @ $11/100 rounds.

Thought I would pass it along :)

That is not a special deal...that is their normal price. In Detroit Lakes it was $10.96 until about 6 months ago, now it is $11.34. Fleet Farm has handgun ammo (Blazer aluminum) on sale 4.99/50 fairly often. If we lived in an area where there was an Academy sports, their normal price on Blazer is about $7.50/100...alas, they are a south western US chain.

I read Glocktalk.com a lot. Most people say the only reason they go to Walmart is the Whinchester White Box (WWB) 100 packs.

Every time we goto Burnsville Pistol Range, we stop at the Walmart on 18 (Shakopee?).

They have the 100 round value packs in several calibers, but the 9mm is the best deal..at least here. They also sell a Remington 9mm value pack of 100 JHP rounds for a few dollars more.

Do you want hug? We weren't calling you dumb... dummy. j/k

I worded my post so as not to address the fact that it wasn't a special deal. I was trying to spare your feelings. I really hate it when I find something cool and someone just says "yea, so?"

And, my response was not to minimize your find, but to point out that, yes, it is their normal price, and unless you reload, it is about the best price available for good practice rounds. It is a good deal! I have a tendency to always stop at the ammo counter when I am in any Wal-Mart...I figure I can always use another box or two.

I also recommend the on-line retailer natchezss.com as a inexpensive source for full case shipments. I believe that the CCI Blazer is 4.77/50 in case lots of 1000 rounds. Even if you add shipping, it is no more than Wal-Mart, and it is fun to get the delivery!

I agree with Paul-Blazer from Natchez in case lots is the way I've been buying ammo for years. I figure that the shipping cost is about the same as the sales tax would be. UMC has been on sale at Dicks lately also. WWB at Wally-world is pretty cheap shooting, too. I was in Cabellas on Wed., and they had S & B under $5.00, too.
