It is quite common, especially in people who take a whole lot of ibuprofin on an empty stomach, and in people who are on drugs like coumadin (for clot prevention) or any of the b-inhibitors we give after cardiac intervention to prevent stents from immediately clotting off (reapro, integrillin, etc.....)
It is not a smell you will forget anytime soon.
