My doctor of many years has moved her practice and it is no longer possible for me to see her.

Anyone able to recommend a good doctor in the metro area? Male or female is fine -

Thanks!

I had one, but she just moved out of state. That happens every time we get a doctor we like.

Matthew Barnes, MD is in Plymouth.

I've been seeing him for years. However, he may not be taking new patients. It's worth a call.

I really like Tim Ratjora. He is a PNC doc in St. Louis Park. Not sure how far you want to drive, but he is good.

Midway Family Clinic (Dr. Yohannes Gebre) gets my vote. Location isn't posted, nor is the doc's office. +1 We have had very candid conversations about guns +2 He is not a pez dispenser doc, he will proscribe what is needed when it is needed but doesn't medicate EVERYTHING like a lot of docs do today +3 Just plain great with kids, don't know if you have any or intend to, but better than alot of pediatricians +4 Small clinic, low overhead, really great if you aren't rich. We aren't so it has been a pretty big plus to us +5 answers questions dirrectly and clearly, as many as you want to ask +6 his assistant/ receptionist is every bit as great as he is.

Name: Midway Family Clinic
Street: 1821 University Avenue West
Saint Paul, mn 55104-2801
Phone: (651) 644-2273

Edited to add: Picking my wife's brain, she also mentioned that if you call and leave a message you will always be called back by the doctor or his nurse, there is no answering service, no megatochtone menu of death, just the doc or his nurse calling you back. The overall feel is a little bit more like Doc Baker of Little House On The Prairie than the science lab mega clinic you'd get through one of the hospital affiliated clinics. I didn't really think about it until my wife said something, but that difference in feel is actually a pretty huge deal.
