An interesting way to solve your trespassing problems.. As I like to say, the loser of the the fight ain't always the victim. Gotta be a backstory here.

Homecoming incident leads to charges for Willmar man

Quote:
A 50-year-old rural Willmar man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor charges stemming from a homecoming week incident that allegedly included spraying toilet-papering teens with a squirt gun filled with fox urine.

I wonder if this person has been targeted for eight years for reason. My town has people like that, too.

Problem is, if you do any of the things that make sense . .. barbed wire for example . .. and a kid gets "hurt" there is liability. If he'd have even shot at them with rock salt shotgun (which box o' truth did a great thing on - improbable that'll do more damage than a blank at any range) then it'd be a felony weapons charge.

I think this guy made a good attempt to protect his right to be secure in his property without going over the top. Prosecuting him is irresponsible, sick and wrong. D.A. needs to be tarred and feathered for charging this guy. The kids need harrasment and maybe stalking charges, probably something under the tresspass heading as well.

Even if the guy is a jerk, what gives the teens the right to trespass onto his property and cause mischief?

When he ordered them to leave and they refused, he should've called 911.

Are there any charges against the teens for choking him, disorderly conduct, trespassing, etc........?

I know Scott. There's no way that I would attack that man. He's a big sumbitch!

He's a decent guy; stubborn as the proverbial ox, but decent. He got shafted in this case. The fox urine idea is quite original, too. There are much worse things he could have sprayed on them.

(Did the plug for the gun show appear when you viewed the article?)

The jerk off mod at WC tribune keeps pulling my comments.

I guess the panty waste can't laugh at claymores, or perhaps their child was one of the perps.

Well I do have to say I think everyone is taking this way to far. My class in 2004 was the first group to start this and im glad we did this. Some of the stuff he would do to us and chase us down gravel roads at 60 mph is what makes kids wanting to go back. We have talk to the cops before about this and he is to blame to he has done more shit to us that everyone is missing there is a group of 12 of us that didnt complain or anything when he runined our cars and stuff so he shouldnt complain about this.

There's a H.S. Graduate.

So this kid is blaming this dude for the kids tearing up his own car running from a guy they are driving their cars to, for the purpose of harrassing him  Logic and grammar is optional at Wilmar.

In my youth I TPed a bunch of houses in Willmar and the surrounding countryside. I am not saying what we did was the right thing to do. The houses that got TPed were the houses of the kids- most often it was a badge of honor, at least sort of. It was usually an athlete or some other popular kid.

The thing that is sad, is that if we even thought we might be getting caught we ran away so fast it would make your head spin. We most certainly didn't fight back. AND if I got sprayed with fox urine, I would be pissed, but I would be fully aware that I had it coming. AND, I would never, ever tell my parents. And, if my parents got called, my ass would be in a sling. FINALLY, if the father of the guy was at all "scarry" we wouldn't have gone to that house.

Thats my .02

Edited to add: the post of above this appeared while I was typing my post. My grammer might not be perfect, but then I did graduate long before 2004. I assume this young man is saying the was the first to do it to this guy. Kids have been TPing, alot, and tearing down gravel roads for an extremely long time.

A friend of mine has a barn that borders and faces a high school. The Senior kids like to paint graffiti on the barn promoting their graduating class.

My friend caught the kids and said - OK, you can paint my barn, mostly because I never see that side of it anyhow, but if I don't like what you put on it, I am going to tell the school who you are and you will repaint it.

It seems to be an amicable relationship year after year.

Growing up in Willmar, I have some fond homecoming memories.

Homecoming of senior year, some friends and I were just throwing our first rolls into the trees of one house when this crazy bastard unloaded on us with a paintball gun. That crazy bastard is now my father-in-law.

I'm pretty sure my friends and I are also the only ones to ever get away with, or even attempt, TPing the courthouse/police station. Wow, that was stupid...fun though.

That stuff is expensive 12oz for $20. He must have had a lot of it too, inorder to spray it like that.

Never TPed the courthouse/police stationl. Congradulations.

I did however take part in "treeing" the high school. Twice. After Christmas we went around and picked up all the Christmas trees that people left on the cornor for the Jaycees to pick up. We hauled them to the courtyard of the school and stood them up in the snow. I think it made the place look a little better.

We had a guy in our neighborhood that was hated by all the kids on the block. We would throw eggs at his house tp his trees etc. My dad found out about it one time and drug me by the scruff of my neck over there and made me apologize. ( this was back in the 60s when fathers still made you take responsibility for stupidity.) A few years later, after I left the neighborhood the guy died. My mom showed me the guys obituary. He was some sort of super marine island hopper during WWll, highly decorated and had also lost a son some time latter. Maybe there was a reason or two he didn't socialize very much. To this day I still regret some transgressions of my youth.

I know I do. No great sins, just kid pranks, but I'm less than proud of some of those actions today. I guess most of us grow up.

Interesting enough my father was like yours gunflint. He would always tell us that it was unlikely that we would get away with poor behavior because he had done some of those things as a kid himself. A lecture from my dad got your attention more effectively than any paddling would. And he knew it. :)
