Quote: Bible passage for swearing in? The whole book Full story hereJan 22, 09 After all the speculation over the Bible passage Barack Obama might select as the place to put his hand during the oath of office on Tuesday, he picked ... the whole book. The Lincoln Bible in Michelle Obama's hands was closed. (Wednesday, for the "do-over" oath ceremony when Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts delivered the oath correctly, there was no Bible present.)
Is it odd to anyone else that in the public light he used a Bible (the whole thing), but when no one was looking he didnt?

Nah. The first oath is the one that counted. The second was a "backup", in case somebody later tries to disqualify him on the grounds that the first oath was not precisely administered according to the Constitutional requirements. It's just a legal formality.
After the commotion about his birth certificate, they are more careful.

I'm guessing it would take a lot of hassle to get the Lincoln bible back for a quick (and impromptu?) oath.
From what I heard on the news....
There is no requirement for a bible (or anything?) to be used anyways.
He can't be hiding anything, since he'd know there would be cameras there.

What I found a little ironic was the timing/pairing of two commercials on the History Channel this morning:
First there was a teaser/trailer for a history channnel special talking about the Antichrist and all the different people percieved as the AC in history. Then they went on to talk about the attributes... that was the first commercial.
The second commercial was for a barrack obama commemorative coin.
Coincidence? Who knows... only time will tell how much he's gonna fuck up our country.
