NEW YORK (WABC) -- Former New York Giant Plaxico Burress pleaded guilty Thursday morning in a deal with prosecutors that will send him to prison for two years.
Burress pleaded guilty to on count of second-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon. He will also be subject to two years post-prison supervision.
The deal, hammered out between prosecutors in the Manattan District Attorney's Offfice and Burress' lawyer, was the result of negotiations ongoing since his arrest last November.
Burress was indicted earlier this month on gun possession charges for accidentally shooting himself in the thigh in a nightclub.

Two years of prison? Hammered out between his lawyer and the prosecutor? He is getting effed over by this deal. The only person injured was himself. He never attempted to use the weapon in the commision of any othercrime than possessing in the SDRNY. He got hosed.

That's the law there. I don't like it, but what did he expect?

Besides, he should have used a holster.
