So, this afternoon I was out in my driveway detailing my car and in my backyard I have a screen porch. During this I see a guy run out of my porch and smell the odor of dope. He hopped the fence to my neighbors and I began to walk out into the alley to confront, he walks out in front of my neighbors garage and sees me, and stops. (I was ready to rock if he was violent) I say "You were in my porch, smoking dope!" he says "Nah, you're mistaken, man" - And, I say, Nah, I don't think so. And he just proceeded to walk across the alley across another yard and driveway.

I call the cops, they come, they've been looking for him all day, been in and out of garages and whatnot all day long, robbing, burglarizing, and so forth.

They chase him down and I ended up riding shotgun in undercover squad car to ID the clown who ran out of my screen porch (smoking dope) and confronted in alley. They chased him down the highway, ended up hiding at a church.

Looking for Redemption?

Rampant + rabid? = rampid?

Changed to wild. The guy looked like Charlie Manson. But, younger.

He had a medium-sized red bag when I confronted him, when the police got to him, no bag. Probably filled with his ditch weed and stolen goods. They did find a GPS on him though, showed it to me at the scene and asked if it was from my porch.

I drove around the neighborhood looking for the bag. Mini scavenger hunt. No luck.

He was probably just geocaching the houses with the best loot. ;)

Hah. I'm not so sure. He appeared so out of this world when I saw him staring at me, I doubt he even knew how to use it. Glad I had my hand wrapped around my .380 in my pocket, though. When he saw me in the middle of the alley, he stopped and I said what I said, he said what he said (posted in the original message) when I said "Nah, I don't think so" he walked forward like half a step, but then reconsidered. Maybe it was the big gold NRA letters on my cap and the hand in the pocket.

The officer even described him to the Edina K9 officer (yes, they brought a doggy to my house) as:

"A guy with REALLY ratty ass hair"

Crazy thing is this:

I left my house around 2pm (he was probably in the porch then...you have to open my fenced yard to get into the yard to the porch** I don't look in my porch everytime I walk past it, expecting a dopehead to be in it) got back around 2:30, walked by it again, into the house, came back out, opened the side door on the garage (right by the porch door) got some stuff out, took a electric scooter out, took it around the block, came back with it, past the porch again, parked it on the sidewalk in my yard. Back into the driveway to wax my car. Then 10 minutes or so later, I see something bat out of my porch, while smelling large odor of dope, walk into the alley, I think, he may be in between the garages, so I proceed with caution. Not there, go forward a little bit and in front of my neighbors garage, he appears sneaking out. Didn't expect to see me. The clown.

Great. Two items are missing from the porch. Called dispatch. The undercover squad is coming back.

Must have ditched that red bag for good reason. Grrrrr.

Changed clothes after fighting with first victim, I find out. Sure as shit, the dirty ass pants are in my porch.

He stole out of a garbage bag of Goodwill clothes. Emptied a gas can. WTF?

Maybe, they should add arson, I think he was going to burn down my porch!

Well Tim, sorry to hear that your stuff is gone. Stories like this make me mad. You didnt do anything to deserve this and now you are faced with stolen stuff, damages floors, and police reports because of someone who is acting out. I think a good father figure would have done this guy good, too late now.

Yeah. He stole a set of new brake pads (wtf) and a leather pocket holster I just had gotten from a buddy. Plus played with gas cans and stole clothes and left his ratty jeans behind, smelling like dope.

Idiot.

Figures. Anything "brand new" cand be sold for a couple of bucks. I know a guy who gets canned goods from the food shelf and actually sells it on the streetfor cash.

Your brake pads are probably worth a qucik pack of cigarettes.
