The little f*ckers keep showing up at 5am. For those who don't get it, this is what they sound like. Working from home, I try to sleep in until 6:30 or so.

What are the birds that sound like Nelson from the Simpsons (annoying two-tone call, high to low)?

If it wouldn't result in more than a few legal problems, I'd be tempted to see what a 9mm would do to one of those at 5:30am.

It's clear that the robins are ignoring your sign due to the fact that the font is not the correct height and they were not posted according to state law with a sign bottom height of 8 feet and you didn't post one in each tree in the yard. Not to mention the lack of a contrasting background color.

Declare yourself a church then you don't have to even post......the robins will know through some type of divine communication. Problem solved.

Wait until you get one that finds their reflection in your window. Robins and Cardinals are VERY territorial when in mating season.

I had one that would bomb my window from sunrise to 5pm non-stop for two weeks. After two weeks it stopped.

Maybe try training a coopers hawk to sit on you roof for free victuals in the morning? Kestrels are too small for robins, I think.
I'm vehemently apposed to the cat, though. Just my humble opinion and all that...

Apparently, I'm not alone. It's really only an issue if I'm more well rested. I should start staying up until 2am again so I'm constantly exhausted and able to sleep through the noise.

sweet thoughts of joy and happiness into my heart did spring

After a long winter seeing the birds return is the welcoming of spring, until they start doing the things that get under your skin.

I had a friend who had several whippoorwills doing their nocturnal songs. After several weeks with no sleep my friend was showing signs of near total psychosis. I mean completely unhinged. He was trying to come up with ways to get rid of those birds, and not all of them were rational. A residential development was going in next to his property and they were knocking down all the trees. I think that is what finally drove the birds away (and his return to sanity).
