Group Purchase of ammo?
I cant believe the best I can do on new .45 acp is $29.50 per 100...
That is the Walmart price for winchester new white box.
9mm (9x19) is $19 per 100rds
380acp is same as .45acp
.40 s&w is $26 per 100rds
Minneapolis, mn

For Wally world that is cheaper than the last 200 rounds I bought there Memorial Day weekend in Albert Lee. I bought 9mm for $21/100 I think.

.45 acp was $34/100, so I didn't buy any.

I can't find any cheaper on ammoman or Natchez, looks cheap on Natchez but after shipping cost (about 2/3 what the actual ammo is listed for), it isn't nearly as attractive.

I think the answer is "grab your ankles and ask for more, or start reloading."

If there is a group buy somewhere, count me in.

*edit* If you look on Cabelas website, they have a screaming deal on "bulk" .45acp that amounts to $.40/shot. What a joke. Add shipping on top of that.

+1 on the group buy. Personally, I'm in the market for S&W .40 8)

Gunbroker has some cheap 40S&W, but I'm not familiar with the brand. Looks like 1000 rnds for $160, plus shipping of course. Here's the site:

Has anyone else heard of MCCI?

He has the same beginning price on 9mm also, odd.

Google says MCCI stands for Maine Cartridge Company Inc. and the opinions on their stuff seems to not be very good.

for example from our friends across the way.

Especially with no pictures I'd be wary.

Pony Express used to make good reloads, maybe we can work something out with them, seeing as they are local.

Worth a try anyway, my only needs at this point are 9mm and .45 acp.

FMJ preferably (stupid polygonal rifling!). If possible it'd be nice to be below $0.20 a round in 9mm, and below $0.30/rd for .45 acp, which seem to be the market average.

I doubt they'd want to work a deal on 12 different calibers, we'll want to take a poll or something and see what caliber(s) would serve the most members here if it were to get rolling.

I haven't dealt with Pony Express myself, maybe someone else would feel more comfortable being the facilitator on this project.

We arwe working on getting "new ammo" not remanufactured and my goal would be get 9mm for 13.5 cents to 16 cents per, 40 s&w and .45 acp for thje same discounted amounts. I have some nice Sigs and H&Ks so I want nice FMJ or comparable; decent brass and clean loads.

We are also trying to get some deals on 8mm Mauser, 7.62 x39, 7.62 x54R, .303 British, .308 and .30-06......

It appears, the larger the lot the better the price....

My interests lie in .45ACP, 7.62x54R and 7.5x55 Swiss.

I like the Pony Express option. I need .40 S&W, .38 Spcl, .357 Mag, .45 ACP.

I'm looking for .40 S&W myself. I know my boss would like to go in on some probably, as he's purchasing a Springfield XD 40 soon....
