For the guns that can take it (like my XD) I feed it Wolf from ammoman.com - like $180/1000 so its a little cheaper than the WWB from Wally World, and doesn't leave my hands all dirty after going through a box or three. Gun's gotta get cleaned anyway, and I haven't noticed much difference between the two for how dirty the gun gets, even after 300 rounds.

Your extractor doesn't love you. :P

I think you'll find most fo the guys/gals here reload everything they shoot so brass and reloadable cases are a must. 8) However, wolf makes from fine 'blasting ammo for commie guns like Ak's or SKS's. 8)

NOTE: the dick's coupon is ringing up as:

Buy 1 at full retail (not the sale price marked on the shelf)
Get 1 at 50% of full retail.
That works out this way for .45UMC:
$19.99 for first box, $9.99 for second = $30 for both = $15.00 ea ... That is NOT a deal! The "sale" price on the shelf is $14.98 for case lots or $15.98 ea box.

You'd be MUCH better off using several "Coach's coupon"s for $10 off a $25 purchase = 40% savings.

They did the same thing last year. Folks were thinking they'd stock up with some fairly priced ammo, and when they would get there and figure it out, it's no deal.

At Dick's through Saturday....

Ultramax Bulk packs of .45 (150 rounds), .40 (225 rounds), 9mm (250 rounds) or .38 spl (200 rounds) for $39.98 (regularly $59.99).

Take an additional $10 off with the Coach's Certificate.

There is a guy out of Blaine, sells ammo online, or out of his place of business by appointment. He has 9mm magtech for 11.29/box of 50. He also has a buyers club plus discounts for shooting clubs/military etc. Some things aren't a deal, but some are. www.a1ammo.com

Looks like an older thread but I'll update it. I stopped at Walmart in Woodbury and Stillwater - both cupboards were bare of all calibers. I found ammo at Gander Mountain but not Walmarts.

Dicks in Cedar Rapids has 4000rounds 223 wolf steel case ammo $ 8.99 per20, not a steal but at least something to play with (was down there for work).
