I'd suspect it would have to be one of the LE models like a S&W K38 or the 357 equivanent.

The question is "Most Popular," not "Most Common."
Two different things.

Would not popular lead to common? If something is popular and the seller of the popular item wants to stay in business, would he not make as many of them as he could? The mass production of said item would then make it common, no?
