I was hoping to do this after receiving my permit but I guess I will go ahead and do it now. I will also post this in the thread on how long it takes to get permit. I've had a few posts and have really enjoyed the forum. I took Joel's class on the 14th of August, and submitted my application on the 17th of August. The permit was not in the mail today so I guess Sheriff Albers is going to use his whole 30 days. i was curious as to how much more background checking is done for the carry permit vs. the permit to purchase a handgun? I received my permit to purchase in April, so I kinda figured not too much time in between the two so not as much checking to do. But after seeing the other post are how long it took in Goodhue County it was going to be the whole thirty days. Thanks for letting me vent and I hope I make intelligent posts when I choose to participant. Oh, the Chunkychuck id is a play on a high school nickname and is not (at least not recently) a reflection of my body build.

The best thing about finding a new author is that you don't have to wait for his next book to come out.

Great series of books.

A) Welcome Chuck yes Sheriff Albers will take the whole thirty days, actually no one will start on the checks till around day 28 or so. Give 'em an inch and they will take the whole foot.
B) Jack Reacher is pretty cool but Repairman Jack will kick his and everyone elses ass. F. Paul Wilson is the author.
