Fiery Red and I paid up on ours with a decent tip too. I'm thinking confusion would be a huge part of this screw up. Some other friends of mine met me there too last night and their check was even screwy. Any one else think this also could have been a slick move by "ardent observer"?

John from Idaho (sorry, don't know his screen name) and I got fed, although it took awhile. We tipped very well, knowing that the waitress was "in the weeds". Let me know if this doesn't get straightened out, I will chip in to help cover anyone who got hosed, however accidentally.

So far no PM from the party involved.

Again, I will not bust the people in public if they 'fess up.

I wish to thank those who have spoken up and I understand things were busy, maybe I am too tight, and should just write it off, but its the concept. My daughter is a waitress and she is responsible when she gets stiffed on a tab on her tables, so I take this a little more to heart than many people.

Hopefully someone will get to work in the morning and check the forum and discover their error.

Also If you had the afforementioned items and DID pay, let me know, and I will go back to Stubbs and see to that there. IT is possible that they/she made the mistake, but I am there regularly and she does not seem to be the type to have pulled something.

I will be glad to help also...

Our table had excellent service ... the waitress was superb.

It was really busy for one gal to do all that work. I tipped her $15. She did a great job even though she was swamped. I had to hunt her down to pay my tab. It was confusion at the highest level.

I am sure forgetting to pay was a mistake and that it will be taken care of. I will also chip in if the person who made a mistake doesn't realize it or come forward.

Thanks for covering the bill to clear things up 1911fan. Top notch move!

I hate to ask but.. are you sure that it was a member or members of this group? I noticed other groups in there

I was wondering the same thing. If it was someone who noted that there was a large group, and then figured that they would dash and figure that the group would get stuck with it. My next thought was that it was a covert anti.

But there is no proof that I know of for either.

No more bickering. I removed the posts.

Jac714 and Mac you will both have PMs shortly.

Take it up with the other mods if you have a problem with this.

Oh, and mad props to 1911fan, as some of the younger crowd might say.

I thought this thread got shorter. I did a double take when I clicked back on it.

I will add again.

No pm's yet regarding someone taking responsibllity

I am at S&H's about once a week it not more, as I do a lot with the U and I attend almost every home mens Bball and M hockey game. I know the waitress enough to be friendly with her. One more reason I was so upset. She said she remembered that the person had a name tag on, but was not sure of the name, So yeah pretty sure it was two of us.

I called the manager and asked him if they had any double pays on tabs, with everything in computer, it tracks every purchase, He said no. So someone did eat and did not pay, as my payment and theirs would have flagged the till.

Again,

One Summit,

One bar pour Bourbon

One Cheeseburger

One Classic.

not a hard order to remember.....

The wife and I were there. Had fun. Matched up some faces. Paid with Travelers Cheque.

So far no one has stepped up.

I was there today for lunch with a couple of guys from the AD and I talked to the manager. He said no one has called them either to pay up like the other poster said they had once done after leaving by mistake,

At this point I am assuming it is just my contribution to the cause.

All of you who offered support, thanks but the logistics would be silly.

At this point I am resigned to the fact that there is a couple among us who are less than honorable. As Bill Cosby would say, "You gotta have a pretty crappy Momma to raise you up to do something like this"

I am done with this. Last post on this unless someone contacts me to pay up.

I saw you at "The New Thing" though I don't think we were introduced. Maybe we could arrange to meet there sometime soon and I'll pay for your food and drinks.
