This post ought to reveal just what a novice I am when it comes to gunsmithing of any kind.
I have an XD-9 Tactical which I have always found to be far more accurate than I am. I just had some TruGlo TFO sights installed and now find that in order to hit bullseye at even as little as 21 feet I need to aim two or three inches to the right of center. I can still have small groupings, but they aren't on-target as they were before.
I have a call into the gunsmith who installed the sights (who is very highly thought of even though I've not used him before) but I'm curious if any of you have had this same problem and what you've done about it if you have.
Help!

Much as "user error" would be a logicial cause of my woe, and even more so if you knew me, in this instance the gun was accurate with the stock sights and isn't now.

I hope you saw that as a friendly jab. I just couldn't resist the opening you left for me.

I believe that the sites are fit into a dovetail in the slide (front & rear). It is likely that they are "drift" adjustable (rear site anyway). Maybe the smith can show you how to go about making a correction. My thoughts are that it should be relatively easy to correct. Good luck, let us know how it sorts out for you.

"move the rear sight in the same direction you want the shot group to move"
Usually only get to use that line with the DNR training

This may even be a NRA test question.

Take it back to the smith and simply explain what you stated here and he will gladly move them for you.
P.S. Re-check your earlier request for a gunsmith and let us know what you find.
I believe it was you requesting the names of local smiths a while back.
